Judi Tyabji-Wilson
Robert Tyabji, Shah Alam, 2005
Judi, daughter of Alan Tyabji and grand daughter of Najm Tyabji, visited us in Bhutan as a young girl in (I think) 1982. She arrived from Calcutta with her grandfather in his old model Indian Fiat, which had broken down halfway up the steep and winding road between India and Thimphu (I had warned Uncle Najm about the rigours of this road but, being Najm, he'd paid no heed). The car made it to Thimphu, but on the bed of a Tata truck! (Details of this can be found on these pages)
Judi has published two books Political Affairs in 1994 (Horsdal & Schubart, ISBN 0-920663-29-X) and Daggers Unsheathed: The Political Assassination of Glen Clark in 2002 (Heritage House).
We met Judy again years later, in Canada, where she had emigrated to. Her story is a fascinating one.
