Ma Roshan gets a new hip, May 2006

On Friday, 12 May, at home in KL, Ma Roshan fell and fractured a femur. On 14 May she was hospitalized at Pantai and underwent a partial hip replacement procedure. The successful operation was carried out by Dr. Gobinfder Singh, a well known sports orthopaedic surgeon and son of old family friends, and she recovered rapidly. She was discharged on 24 May and moved into our house in Shah Alam so that she would be close by. She is using a wheelchair for the moment, but with daily exercise and practice with a walking frame, she is recuperating rapidly.
