Dalai Lama Renaissance is a documentary film of a week of discussion and interaction between the Dalai Lama and the Synthesis Group, a group of 40 American academics, filmed in the Dalai Lama's headquarters at Dharamshala. The subject was one of great interest and importance - what human behaviours are needed to make the world a more harmonious, compassionate place for everyone, and what to do about it. The film won 12 awards and was screened at 40 film festivals. Michel worked on this film as Sound Design Director and Music Production Director as well as recording engineer, along with Rosa, for over a year. The film was shot in Dharamshala, India, in 2007.
Michel and Rosa have now returned to LA. Following on the film shoot in Dharamsala with the Dalai Lama, they went next to Amritsar to document an inter religious conference of Sikh, Buddhist, Muslim, Christian and Hindu religious leaders and scholars, on the subject of forgiveness.
