A very brief history of Farhad's Culture Yard, and how he's expanding its scope and reach...

Culture Yard Presents was founded in 2005 by Farhad Tyabji as an independent promotion company on a mission to support and produce live cultural reggae and dub events year-round in Seattle. Culture Yard's live concerts help keep the Rastafari reggae beat playing in the Seattle area.

Culture Yard's location is a grandfathered commercial property in Fremont. Its spacious indoor, basement and yard accommodation  is utilized as an artist guesthouse, live band studio, and event space. In an effort to expand, Culture Yard launched their Patreon in 2024. Members receive privileges while supporting Culture Yard's musical mission through a small monthly subscription.
